01 Introduction
Shore Parkway Physical Therapy, PC ("Shore Parkway PT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you visit our website, request an appointment, or otherwise communicate with us about our services.

Note for patients: As a licensed healthcare provider, our handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and is described in detail in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide at intake. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website and our general communications, and is not a substitute for our Notice of Privacy Practices.
02 Information We Collect

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With your consent
- When you authorize us to share information with another party.
- Service providers (Business Associates)
- With vendors who help us operate our practice — including our practice management system, scheduling and patient communication platform, billing services, and website hosting. Where these providers handle Protected Health Information on our behalf, we maintain Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with them as required by HIPAA. These providers are contractually required to safeguard your information and use it only for the purposes we authorize.

05 HIPAA & Protected Health Information
Shore Parkway Physical Therapy, PC is a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Our handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) — including information about your health condition, treatment, and payment for care — is governed by HIPAA's Privacy Rule and Security Rule.
The complete details of how we use and disclose PHI, and your rights regarding that information, are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to all patients at intake and is available upon request.
Our HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Our practice management, scheduling, intake, and patient communication systems are operated through platforms covered by Business Associate Agreements that meet HIPAA's administrative, physical, and technical safeguard requirements.
06 Text Messages & Communications
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, we may send non-marketing text messages related to appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-up communication about your care. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Our messaging is sent through a HIPAA-compliant platform operated under a Business Associate Agreement. Because standard SMS travels over external carrier networks that are not end-to-end encrypted, your opt-in serves as your consent to receive appointment-related communications by text, which may include limited information about your care. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text from us, or reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to receive care at our practice.
You may also receive emails from us related to your care, account, or general practice updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link included in each message.
07 Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support basic site functionality, remember your preferences, and help us understand how visitors use the site. The categories we use include:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the site so we can improve it

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site features. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites for advertising purposes.
08 Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Protected Health Information is stored and protected in accordance with HIPAA's Security Rule, and our service providers that handle PHI on our behalf operate under Business Associate Agreements with corresponding safeguard obligations.
While we maintain industry-standard protections, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
